Don't take this stuff lying down. The only way for your voice to be heard is by saying "no" to this company by returning your phones. Put a nastygram in the return box, too.

So You're suggesting that the consumer should return their iPhones that they own to Apple with a derogatory note included? I'm not following your logic here.

Or, somebody could simply purchase another phone if they wanted to from a different competitor, because they're not obligated to support Apple if they don't want to.

I'll make my voice heard right here.

I have an amazing iPhone X and an iPad Air 2 on iOS 11 that still runs great. Both devices perform exactly as I expect- the iPhone X is smooth as butter and the Air 2 is surprisingly responsive for a device that's three generations behind.

I hope Apple will begin to inform users if their devices have batteries that no longer handle intense power loads, but it's not some huge conspiracy like some make it out to be.

Bye Felisha.

Eh. I replace my phones every three years, so end-of-life phone (to me), no issue with software throttling my device if the battery is in sad shape. Not that I tax the phone that much (read: play games), so, rather have the software stretch the battery life vs gonads to the wall performance for making calls, email, web, podcasts and a dead battery after only a few hours.

It's a no issue, just change your battery, it makes sense that Apple will throttle your phone when the battery is old as it causes the phone to be unresponsive.

What I don’t understand is why Apple implements this in a later iOS.

If they’re all about it why not implement it in the shipping version ios with new hardware?

People who don’t update iOS down the road to get this “feature” could
Possibly be SOL?

This is a joke right? I like to think with my own brain...not from someone just telling me what to do!

I have used android phones as recently as the S8 and I’m not interested in going that route.

But we did buy another iPhone 8 and another iPhone X since the story broke. Merry Christmas to my kids.
