Returned to iPhone, and the keyboard is still terrible in iOS 5

Having both an iPhone and Android device I would rate the keyboards as such.

This is my opinion so take it for what it's worth.

1. SwiftKey X
2. ICS stock
3. iOS
4. Swype
5. HTC stock (sense 4.0)
6. Touchwiz stock

I would put Swype ahead of iOS.

Actually I'm not sure if its my imagination or not but the jellybean keyboard seems to have gotten slower. I'm guessing the predictive text feature may be slowing it down a bit. Back spacing has definitely gotten slower and that sort of annoys me.

I fear they've taken a page out of apples book and somehow made the keyboard worse...

Also, Google really missed the point of shortcuts.

They should've made it so that it auto corrects to whatever shortcut I set up, instead of merely just offering the substitution in the suggestion bar.

I can't believe I'm saying this, but this is one time the suggestion bar is working against typing.

Here are more reasons why the iOS keyboard pissed me off today alone.

I had accidentally over filled my car AC with R134a, so I needed help. I called him and got the dreaded "Your call has been forwarded ANNOYING AS HELL voicemail"...

So I decided to text him, and it says, "LICK UP BLA. IT S JSBIT IET".......this was supposed to say, "pick up, it is important".....WTH iPhone? How the hell did it get that out of "Pick up it is important"? The iOS keyboard HAS NEVER EVER BEEN THIS SOUR Until iOS5.

Then I said, "And this PRICES the iPhone keyboard FUXKING sucks"

It was supposed to read" and this PROVES the iPhone keyboard (official F word)-ing sucks" The only annoying thing that happened on iOS 4 and below was chaining the F word to ducking, and hell to he'll...but I would take those any day compared to the sour keyboard of iOS 5.


This keyboard really has me on THIN ICE with the phone as a whole.
