I have had my iPhone since March and have just now noticed that it has developed a light bleed on the left, and closer inspection reveals that the glass isn't flush on the lower left side.

Can I still take it back to Apple for an exchange even though it's two months old, or do QC issues also only fall under the 14 day exchange policy?

My fault for not noticing, but just thought I would ask as I'm a good four hours from an Apple store.

It's really dependant on the genius you get these days. When I was in search of my perfect phone they were always willing to exchange for light leaks.

I've seen a couple threads lately about how Apple is claiming it's "within specs" and turning people away.

Since you're so far from the Apple store (I love my iPhone, but not enough to make a 4-hour trip to a store and back!), I'd call the 1-800 support number. They can help you troubleshoot over the phone, and if they think it needs replaced, they'll arrange that via free overnight shipping.

^^ I agree.

I had a bad light leak that a couple Genius' and a manager told me was within spec and refused to replace or fix. I then called Apple Care and they told me it was NOT within spec and that they could either overnight me a replacement or put a note in my file telling the Genius to replace it. I went with the latter, I thought it would nice to go back to the store and have the same Genius and manager replace it... Too bad neither of them were working, haha.
