I'm returning my iPad 3 and buying back the iPad 2. I feel the new iPad just isn't worth the upgrade. Anybody else doing the same?

Nope. Full speed ahead. Much of my use involves text, so the screen upgrade alone is well worth it.

I'm sure someone will come along to help you validate your decision. Good luck and all.

Thread number 5000 on the same topic, if you had a quick search you'd find there's many people who have done the same as you, and so YES is the answer to your question, people have returned the 3 for the 2 to save money. If you need me to find the threads for you please respond and I will take the time out to locate them and paste the links here.

Thats like going from Windows 7 to Windows XP. Sure Windows XP is the best Windows MS had made till 7 came along. Did you need 7? Not really, but only a fool would go back to XP from 7

i still have my ipad2 but use my 3rd generation all the time now

every now and then i pick the 2 back up and damn!! they might operate the same and run at about the same speeds but the screen quality is dramatic, especially with photos, texts, and video!

Gosh, my first question that comes to mind is why didn't you do your due diligence before buying one? Now Apple has to sell that one as a refurbed unit.

Illogical. I can understand someone who currently has an iPad 2 not wanting to upgrade, but since you already sold it to get an iPad 3 it hardly seems worth the trouble to save $100 and reverse the decision. You may even save significantly less depending upon how much you sold your previous iPad 2 for. I have to wonder if these posts are deliberate attempts to ruffle the feathers of new iPad owners. :)

Wait,

How much did you pay? I think its stupid for people to go back to Ipad 2 unless you already have it. Are you gonna buy it again? If you already sold your ipad2 and bought the ipad 3. its' not even worth your trouble.

is it worth 600 dollars for retina, maybe not.

Is it worth 100 dollars for retina and extra ram? Yes absolutely. It's not even close. I dare people to go back to the low dpi POS

Extra speed of the RAM cinches it for me. Couldn't go back to the iPad 2, retina display is extra icing for me. If iPad 2 had 1gb of ram I would argue a "maybe".

The extra RAM in the iPad 3 does not make it any more or less faster than the iPad 2.
