Returning Mac, what happens to iWork 09?

Ok so I might return my Mac Mini to Amazon.com and buy a 2.26 Mac Mini or an iMac. So I have iWork 09 installed and I don't know what will happen exactly. Do I have to buy iWork 09 again to install on my new Mac? Will apple somehow transfer it to my new Mac? I really don't know please help. Oh, and does Amazon.com refurbish the Mac Mini I return so my files are not on it anymore or do they send it to Apple to refurbish it?

So I can reinstall it on my new Mac, because I thought it is only single license.

Ok so what I do is uninstall it on my current mac mini and install it on my new mac using a license? Where can I find my license?

The "license" is the physical DVD that it comes on, there is no serial number to enter or anything like that. 🙂

I believe there is a serial number for iWork.

Can't anyone then just install iWork on other computers using the license or do you have to uninstall it first on the Mac with iWork?

I'm assuming it is. I got the trial version then bought the download and it had a serial number assigned to it so I'd guess the physical DVD sleeve would have one also.

If you downloaded the 30 day trial you could then buy a licence number from Apple. You would obviously save the downloaded dmg file and licence number to reinstall.
If you purchased the iWork'09 disc the licence number is included and entered when you install.
Both could be checked when using software update I suppose.

Remove iWork'09 before taking the computer back so you can reinstall it on to the new one with a clear conscience..

I would never count on someone else to wipe my personal data. I would feel better doing it myself. 😉
