I preordered the 13 Pro Max back in September. Decided to just sell it while I can recover pretty much what I paid for it. I haven't been using it half as much as anticipated. Planning to go back to my iPhone SE 2020 again, and possibly just upgrade when a new SE comes out.

I don't know what I expected really. It has a great camera, battery and design, but it just does the same effective thing as the SE did. A tad faster, but not night and day.

Is anybody else here feeling the same? Who is this phone for? I think I should shift more of my money into buying a better Mac as I spend more hours on it, poor iPhone sits on the desk most of the day.
I returned my 13 pro. As much as I wanted to love it I just hate the squared off frame. So uncomfortable. Back to the 11pro I go.

I bought my mom the iPhone SE in July for her birthday. She doesnt use her iPhone frequently, just for phone calls and occasional texting. She mainly uses her iPad. That being said, when I last checked her battery health in December, it was already at 97%. Knowing this, the next time I have to replace her phone I'll be looking for one with a better battery life.

that was my main problem with SE (2020) was the battery - went to the 12 mini now I'm at 13 pro

id always advise people pay the extra for the mini 12/13

if the SE3/SE+ come this year they need a bigger battery in it

well, it's been a while since I updated this. I did have my 13 Pro Max listed for sale for a while, but I was getting some truly silly offers. I was waiting until eBay did their fixed selling fees offer before listing it on eBay (FB Marketplace is pretty trash in my experience anyway).

but last week my girlfriend managed to convince me to keep the phone. No point going back to something older / that won't last as long. I might as well just stick with this now. That's what I'm going to do.

as of today, I suppose it is 'the best' experience Apple delivers in your pocket. If I can make it last 5 years, then it'll have been a fairly cheap endeavour. Longest I ever got an iPhone to last was an iPhone 5 for 2 years (and I'm not proud of that, I think 4+ would be ideal)

Why not try swappa? You can get good offers and sell phones fast on there.

That's true for Pro but not necessarily for Pro Max because some people get it for the screen size since they struggle with reading small text.
I think screen size and battery life is the only reason. I prefer the bigger screens and previously you had to get the biggest for their best features but it’s good to see now it’s even in that area.

I think phones are very personal items and yes, there may be a best but that best may not necessarily be the best for you. Last year I was torn up between the 12 mini and the 12 pro/max. I like the telephoto lens and have always found it (and the bigger battery) useful during my travels, but ultimately I didn't like the colours in the pro lineup and figured that buying a phone just for those 4 weeks out of an entire year didn't make sense. For day to day use, the mini is perfect for what I need and I don't regret my purchase one bit.

My IPhone 8 Plus had served me very well, but was down to 84% battery health, cracked all over after having lived through years of construction work with a cheapy $10 case, and the 64gb of memory was starting to feel a bit cramped.

No regrets whatsoever upgrading to a 256 gb Pro Max. Stuffed it in an Otterbox Defender with a nice screen protector. Figure I’m good for another 4 years. Cameras and battery life are amazing compared to the 8+

Just got a new truck last year (after 10 years with the last one) with my first “CarPlay” system, just subscribed to Spotify, and just got an AW SE. Lots of new technology this ole timer is thoroughly enjoying!😀
