That should bode well, then. The BB is about 7 miles from my house, their service center is about 2 miles from me... it's very close. I guess I'll start calling them in a couple of days then... and will be keeping my fingers crossed that they replace it!

Thanks for the advice on the PSP... I am somewhat familiar with it, I bought a laptop computer there about 6 yrs ago that they replaced under the lemon clause... had it in 4 times in the first month. I've also used their plan once to replace a Palm PDA that went bad. Never had the kind of experience you describe, though... lol! Not always the best-trained employees there, heh...

So did you have to turn in all the packaging and accessories, or did they just keep the iPod and let you keep the extras? (just thinking I'll have an extra charger and headphones...)

Nope I was able to keep everything, except the ipod. The only thing I had to do was to bring the receipt.

Just a quick update... I got a call this morning and picked up my new 4G 40gb iPod tonight. :)

They did give me a bit of a runaround about getting a new PSP. Mine was an old plan (purchased 12/02) for which they claim a replacement fulfills the plan completely I asked the manager about it, and they did point out the language in the PSP--it says "plan is fulfilled when a product is replaced after the expiration of the manufacturer's warranty."

In the end, they ended up giving me a new PSP at no cost. So I have a brand new one with another four years from today, so it worked out just fine.

Thanks for your help,

I would give them a call and ask if they have a 3G, if not wait a few days then go and ask for a new iPod. BUt I highly doubt that they have any left, regardless of that from my experience, whenever I wanted to make a purchase over $200 at Best Buy I end up calling them only to find out that they don't have what I want when i get there.
