Ok, I was dumb and lost the receipt. I get that. But I bought some clothing I don’t need. No one I knows wears that size so I figured I’d return it. Online, their website says they can try to look up the transaction with my card.
So I went to the store, Academy Sports and Outdoors, and they asked me to tap iPhone to their card reader. Nothing happened. They said the only option would be to use my ID and they’ll give me the lowest price it sold for in a certain time period, including all coupons and discounts that were available at the time. So $2.49 on a $19.97 item.
They suggested getting my physical card but it looks like those are 2 different numbers. I’m assuming it won’t match in their system.
Has anyone had experience with this? Any ideas? I was trying to move in to the digital age and now I’m going through more hassle.
