I recently stumbled on a Rev A Macbook air that would have kernel panics a lot. I ran a Memtest and it returns:

FAILURE! Data mismatch at local address 0x000000014435a688
    Actual Data: 0x000000214435a688

I am guessing one of the ram modules are bad. The computer would start but sometimes kernal panic and have the classic 3 beeps.

What are some options to fix this?
    1. New logic board

Is it possible to replace the RAM itself "soldering desoldering" (probably impossible)

    What do you guys think?

    Thanks

You can forget changing ram yourself, thats pretty much impossible :(

logic board replacement is probably the only option. Either do it via apple or do it yourself http://www.welovemacs.com/loboformaair.html
lookin at those prices i really doubt its worth it though

    Ah I see :(

Well, how much would it be worth if I just sold it as is for parts? ~300 on eBay seems to be the number.

Id think more than that. i was looking at rev A macbook airs on ebay last week. A defective 1.6ghz with 120gb HDD (not SSD) sold for 500 euros. So im sure you can get that amount for it. You see the thing is that most people dont know you cant change the RAM yourself. so even though you mention it gets kernal panics and that due to defective RAM; someone will buy it thinking he can exchange it.
    You need lotsa luck
