Hey guys/ladies
Ive done some searching to no avail, but im wondering if there is an app or something that lets me send a stream to my ipod. My computer is in my room and i want to stream music/control my ipod from my computer. Use it kind of like an airport express?

Any thoughts? All i could find was simplify media's app that lets you see the entire itunes library on an ipod. I would love to stream tho.

thanks!

I use AudioIn to stream audio from my PC to my Touch and you can configure almost any iTunes 2xkey keyboard shortcut for most functions like Play\Pause, <<, >> etc. (iTunes has to be the active window on your computer for the shortcuts to function) but you can not visually use your iTunes library on your Touch like the Apple Remote app.

Although AudioIn stops your device going into sleep mode which cuts wi-fi and stops it working it tends to chew up the battery a little quicker than normal but it does have a screen saver mode that just shuts down the LCD to conserve power a little better.

Edit: Just got me thinking so I did some experimenting on my jailbroken 2G Touch OS 3.0 and installed Backgrounder from Cydia which let me run both AudioIn and the Remote app at the same time to stream music and browse\ control iTunes on my PC which is great, didn't seem to cause any memory issues or audio degradation with both apps running. You need to keep AudioIn the active app when not using the remote though to stop sleep mode shutdown.

wow, that would be really cool if i can get that to work! I might have to try that! THANKS!

edit:
Works like a dream! Did everything you said and it works EXACTLY like i wanted!

thanks again!
