i read once that in ios4, you could have the home-button configured so that pressing it three times would revert the colors (turn black to white and vice versa)...
is that still valid in ios5, and if so, where do i activate this functionality?
thank you.

Canadian Eh!
If it's still possible in iOS5 it's somewhere under your Settings. I'll look for it tonight on my girlfriend's iPhone.. (mine is JB on 4.3.3 :) )

hey, thanks, i'd appreciate that.
important is that I want to be able to switch with a shortcut, like the one I mentioned (pressing home 3 times)... digging down into some low-level settings every time I want to switch menu would not be cool

Upstate Central NY
Settings > General > Accessibility (you have to scroll way down to find Accessibility)

then scroll down to the bottom of the Accessibility menu

It gives you six options as to what you assign Triple-Chick-Home to:

Off
Toggle VoiceOver
Toggle BlackOnWhite
ToggleZoom
Toggle AssistiveTouch
Ask

I have Ask selected.
