I searched and didn't find anything so forgive me if this has been asked already.

I updated an app and the update contained a design change I really don't like. The previous release was find, not many bugs so I was thinking I could simply back out the update.

My plan was to simply delete the latest file in the apps dir, uninstall the app and then reinstall. Ah, if only it was that simple. I seem to end up with the same level with the design problem.

Does anyone have a procedure that works?

Ok, figured it out. What I had to do is this:

    1) Delete it from the phone and delete it from iTunes.
    2) Delete the "update" ipa file from the mobile apps directory.
    3) Add the app back to the library by pointing to it in iTunes.
    4) Sync it back to the phone/touch.

Deleting the ipa file is dependent on having the old version of the file.

My problem was with Splashshopper 2.5. The latest change made effects some of the display options and really made the list hard to use. I was able to backup to the 2.02 release I had so I'm a much happier camper. I did let the developer know about my concern. Not sure if it's a bug and a design issue.
