Yo dawg, I lived in Winnipeg and -40 out there aint got nothing on -25 out here on Cape Breton. Not tryina beef tho, but I just wanted you to know that the 3 months I spent in the Yukon were a winter vacation compared to the humid high winds massive precipitations and huge temperature fluctuations we get in the Maritimes.Toronto does not experience "bitter cold", well I suppose skinny jeans would make winter feel colder. The prairies have everyone beat. And as mentioned above, TSA recheck +/- Nexus makes life super easy.
Depends. The 'Inspector Gadget' models have more pockets, while the 'Apple Store shoplifter' models have larger pockets, and come with a built-in alarm de-activator for stealth mode.So many things can be hidden away inside, who's the target market, Inspector Gadget, or an Apple Store shoplifter?
'should I land awkwardly and save the Macbook, or land firmly to avoid the potential spinal injury?'.
Too bad they didn't make it at least a little bit stylish too, who wants a big "AYE" in the neck/back-part of a jacket?!?
Hardly any active wear manufacturers "out there" that don't have a similar name placement - think North Face, Helly-Hansen, Patagonia, Adidas, etc, etc, etc.
True enough, it's the humidity and windchill that kills ya.....Yo dawg, I lived in Winnipeg and -40 out there aint got nothing on -25 out here on Cape Breton. That said I love it here and wouldn't wanna live anywhere else.![]()

But will it be able to hold my 3.5 Dongle attachment with my iPhone 7 with all these other Apple products? Max capacity reached.
I've been wearing several different models of the American original version of this jacket from Scott eVest (http://www.scottevest.com) for about six years now. They are absolutely fabulous for flying, if somewhat bulky when loaded up. I have a leather version that is both stylish and inconspicuous, even when packed. And for those Americans that demand everything they own be able to carry a concealed weapon, yes they have versions for that too...
I have three of their jackets, and they're absolutely great when travelling. So a Scott e-Vest knockoff...
I'll stick with the original. They have WAY more options and I know their stuff is good.
This doesn't seem like it's been completely thought out. I can't imagine it's comfortable for your back, or good for your laptop, to have it in the back pouch while you're sitting down.
I wouldn't load it down with all of that stuff at once... but it does look useful for a few different things.
#1 thing I think of is photography. When I'm out shooting I'm _always_ looking for more pockets. Lens hoods, filters, lens caps, SD cards, etc. Just for that activity alone this might be worth it.
It also seems like it would be useful on campus. I carry a backpack with tons of stuff in it everyday including a 15" MBP and a 12.9" iPP. Often times I could just leave my backpack in my office on campus and just stick whatever tool I need for my meeting / class right now in the jacket (usually the iPP). Again, the extra pockets would come in handy for things like carrying an extra battery pack for the iPP / iPhone, Apple Pencil and a bottle of water.
I actually like the styling too... would fit in well in the early fall / late springs up here in Boston.
BTW: $200 for a good jacket isn't bad at all. A good, weather proof jacket from North Face or Eddie Bauer, etc. costs $150 or so.
