crappy case.jpg

apart from the obvious slippers-look when opened, this 'case(?)' looks like some warrior or horseback from the early medieval ages could have kept his AirPods max always within reach, without drawing too much attention.
time travellers' choice for sure.

What's this? why does it even exist? who came up with this design?

All this because Apple stubbornness, because they just refused give a perfectly simple and normal case for a $500+ product

That’s a rough looking sack. Headphone sack, that is.

I saw it and can’t un-see it. ☹️

I’m gonna get roasted for this but honestly I don’t think the Apple case is that bad. It’s sure better than this, or a lot of monstrously large cases.

The headband of the APM is robust enough to get packed in a bag next to normal things like clothes or notebooks. I packed mine in an overnight bag recently and they were fine. They also didn’t take up half the bag like they would have with a full enclosed case.

This is such a terribly made product, wow.

i think it's partially because these headphones dont collapse at all, so they constantly have to exist in this expanded form thus all of the cases have to be designed around that.

beats get "beat" (hah) up on all over for their exaggerated prices vs quality, but one was given to me as a client tip years ago, and the case for it is just this simple sturdy "pouch" that zips and resists being squished. the ears fold into a nice shape, which is something apple could have evaluated as at least one idea better than this. i will say, the beats dont "feel" good when you snap them in and out of this shape, but it makes carrying around much better.

That's what I've thought all along - the Apple case is just right for traveling 🤷‍♂️

I wouldn’t trust it. Mine yellowed from sitting in my leather backpack. Stained and won’t come out. :/ (pics of mine vs new set)

That case looks like its a poorly designed. And that opening for the charging cable, that is shocking, it looks like someone has taking a Stanley knife to it, to cut an opening in it, rather than the manufacturer cutting it when it was getting produced.

Either way, I'm glad I went with the Waterfield, as this looks far more premium than the shocking offering from Capra.
