Even my mini 2 handles much stronger wind than that with ease, however I do heed high wind warnings as I gain height and I’ll come back down some just to be safe, you also don’t want to fly close to any obstacles in high wind because a gust will push it faster than it can correctI quit being an Apple Developer to fly drones for a living. This particular drone, although cool and packed with Tech, will be grounded with winds above 10mph. It's an expensive toy for calm weather days.
I've flown my Spark and (original) Mini in winds at least double that chasing surfers. Looked a little ropey, but they coped just fine.I quit being an Apple Developer to fly drones for a living. Yeah reaction time is the main culprit in unexpected gust, she does catch herself and stabalize but can be pushed a lot til she doesI've flown my Spark and (original) Mini in winds at least double that chasing surfers. Looked a little ropey, but they coped just fine.
The only issue I ever really had with wind was unexpected updrafts while trying to ascend from the base of a waterfall on a really calm day.
