I'm going to buy my kid 10 of these so he has a whole armada to play with. He can have wars and stuff. Price is a little high yeah, but it's totally worth it.

I'm wondering if you have to pay the duck the £100 every time you want it to interact with the child. The title of the article sure suggests that to be the case.

That... does not look like an inductive charger. It clearly has two conducting power terminals. Did you get a prototype without the induction capabilities, or is it a mistake in the review?

I can put music on for my kids and interact with them. And while I don't 'light up' I think I'll save my $100.

well that part is easy to remedy. the lighting up part anyway.
