If I had enough disposable income to afford something like this... I'd buy a working Mac or invest that money into some stocks or crypto. Paying that much for a broken, unusable pile of parts is just ridiculous. Seriously. People who are into this kinda stuff have more money than brains, as they say.

Good points, but I still think I’d throw money at it if I could afford it. I mean, if I could afford something like that, I probably could afford a new computer too anyway.

“…Showcases Apple’s First Modern Laptop Design”

Ironic statement, considering Apple's dramatic change in laptop design (thicker machines) in October of last year. You could argue that today’s "modern" Apple laptops more closely resemble the pre- Macbook Air era.

Yeah but…that’s focusing solely on size. It’s not like the function offered stayed the same while size got bigger.

Look at the tech offered in today’s marginally thicker MBA vs. the original. Performance doesn’t come free.

I bet using tech available today to replicate the original MBA might result in a thinner MBA than the original.

I think “First modern laptop design” is a bit of an overstatement. The first modern laptop design arrived with the first laptop. Good marketing.

Apple laptops hold their value so well that even a non-functioning, disassembled one is going for $700!

To be fair the frame is at least $40 so the laptop is really only selling for $660 😂
