I thought Apple’s MagSafe battery was ugly. But this thing makes Apple’s look like Jennifer Anniston.

This is a dumb question but people using these battery attachments without any case on their iPhone, is there going to be a whole plethora of scratches on the backs of their iPhone after using it for a while?

The reply to everyone who said Apple‘s battery pack was too fat and ugly.
This... is sarcasm right?

Looks so cheap and tacky. Looks like they've taken inspiration from those Tesla wall packs. So cringe.

I would say you're the only one or in the minority because if it was such a "problem" that it would be upgraded later Apple wouldn't have created this design in the first place.
Apple’s made form factor mistakes before, remember the original iMac mouse? And they did change the original magsafe form factor halfway through its use for that matter, I’m not basing my thoughts on this on wild ideas.

Your example makes no sense. This isn’t a design mistake otherwise Hyper wouldn’t have the same form factor. 🙄

The biggest problem with these battery packs is you can’t charge them via MagSafe (except for Apple’s, which requires you attach it to the phone). I have MagSafe charging stands in my house and car and can’t juice up any of these battery packs without getting out a cord. Just when you thought cords were going away…

Bought this unit and it was DOA. Hyper demanded a VIDEO of the problem then made me pay for return shipping. They suck.
Ah, what? I need a cable to charge my wireless charger?!

I thought the entire idea was I have one wireless charging pad and I use that to charge my phone and MagSafe battery, so the idea is my entire phone experience is now wireless.

exactly. A big miss.

The whole MagSafe implementation just feels sloppy, from interface/form factor to accessories.

It bugs me that the Apple Leather Wallet can still rotate a little when attached but maybe that's just me.

This doesn’t even have one full charge for a 12 Max. How would a smaller one be able to have three charges?
You are right. Up to 2 charges. Wow, big size for only a small gain. On Amazon, Viajero and Deskmo have 10000mAh MagSafe power banks and could be better options.

The whole battery extender for phones seems to me to be something which time has come and gone. With faster wired chargers available, the phones charge a ton now in half an hour. The contact charging pads making getting a top up as easy as placing your phone down on your charging pad which you likely have on your desk or on a table next to your bed.

I'm not saying that these won't sell. But I think knew folks who always had a battery case or something like that for their phones and now they don't bother. So I think they won't sell nearly as well this year. Suspect that next year's phones are going to have slightly better battery life as well.

The only advantage I see of MagSafe over wired battery pack is the lack of cable but one can easily just buy a short Lightning cable.
