My $.02:

1)If this is going to simply power a bunch of iPads and iPhones and similar devices during a power outage or camping, there are far better and cheaper solutions under $50 like the Anker power banks that will fully charge your devices 4-10 times. Buy 2 banks if you need.

2)If this is going to be powering something much larger like a tv or mini fridge, mmmm, ok, but it's $500. Do people really need a $500 power supply? I'm sure there's a niche somewhere out there. And depending exactly what you need to power, you can buy power banks for $120-$175 that will charge a laptop 1-2 times.

I like the idea of this product to be able to power/charge more power-consuming devices as well as be silent, but $500 is really steep. If it was more like $250 I would buy. Maybe it will just a few more years to get to that pricing. My use for such a product would be to power my desktop computer and/or monitor for an hour or so when our power goes out. I have UPS systems in my house but they only power the desktop and monitor for about 15 minutes. The UPS cost about $100. If the power went out, I would just plug my UPS into the Jackery after the UPS dies.

They are very popular in vanlife. We use ours a ton for weekend trips. Plenty of power to charge phones, iPads, laptop and our 12v compact fridge. Also nice to occasionally power tv or projector for movie nights. 100w solar panel can also charge usb devices and recharge the Jackery in about 8 hours.

There are some cheaper brands out there but Jackery is good quality and their customer service is great.

Coolaid. You cannot replace the LiOn battery at end of life. The solar panels cannot be left out in the rain. Chinese product with no thought for durability or life cycle.

Can a simple USB A to C adapter suffice? I bought a handful for $9 at Amazon. Works just fine for my dozen or so USB chargers with A outputs. Would it not work with this?

Too smol. Got the Bluetti EB240 2400Wh capacity, 1000W output and it does have USB-C. AC200P model is another great option with 2000Wh capacity, 2000W output and USB-C.

You “CAN” replace or rebuild almost any battery you want to. Whether it’s worth the time, effort and energy is another issue.

With that said I have been extremely happy with build quality, dependability and performance of my Jackery products over the last 3 years. Just added their 300 v2 w/ MPPT solar controller which is perfect for 3-4 day trips supported by solar panels.

As for Chinese with no thought for durability or life cycle products from I see from your signature you already own plenty of those.
