Yeah, I have that same Samsung SSD, and this enclosure is working just fine, and cost less than a good deli sandwich.

Truth be told, any cheap chinese enclosure even off eBay will work just fine. Personally, I like the clear ones from Orico; about 5-10 bucks on eBay and USB 3.0 speeds. The main reason I like these so much is that I know which make and capacity drive I'm plugging in so it's easy for me to tell which drive is which (I have many externals).

I might have to get that. The only thing that bugs me about a lot of these things (and electronics in general these days) is the blindingly bright blue LEDs everyone seems to think are necessary. I'm constantly covering these things up with tape or nail polish or something so they can live in my bedroom without the over the top light pollution. No joke: the one I have currently can light up a whole corner of a dark bedroom. I'd pay extra to get the eye-friendly dim red LEDs back they used to use on things like this.

This one isn't that bright, but... it's not the worst.. at least I don't think. Check the video below, at the end of it you can see how bright it gets.

Looks a good solution for HDDs.

Though for other users wanting to use an SSD. Instead of using you enclosure (or the USB-C variant) with a SATA SSD, they'd surely be better to get an NVMe SSD in an NVMe enclosure similar to yours (just NVMe rather than SATA)?
