Is it still creating a weird background noise when watching the live feed?
absolutely hate that about my circle 2.
as if there was a grasshopper inside the camera. A FOC exchange through logitech didnt make anydifference

How do these impact wireless network performance in general? I can't imagine having a bunch of cameras streaming 1080p video over a 2.4ghz link all day in my home is going to play nice with all the other devices.

Anyone have real world experience to share?

But 5 years down the road the camera itself will be obsolete, based on how technology moves

Not really, if you get decent enough cameras today with at least 1080p and good enough viewing angle for your needs, its unlikely that it will be obsoleted - unless you're living on the bleeding edge and need 4K or 8K security cameras.

Great review, thank you. But I'm confused by this: "...The Circle View is weatherproof so it can be placed outside...but I'd be wary of too much moisture exposure". So is it or isn't it weatherproof?

Resolution is only a small part of the equation. If you have terrible compression the 4k or even 2k videos are not going to look that good. You can have a really high quality 720p that looks better than most HD streams. Many people can probably relate with comparing a 4K movie streamed vs an HD blu-ray. You might have some increased resolution in certain areas, but you still lose out on a lot.

Can you avoid the Apple cloud fees and only have notifications sent to your email? Will those be video clips or pictures?
