Great little mouse.
Pro's:
  1. No cord
  2. Bluetooth works really well
  3. Beautiful to look at
  4. Scrolling works great and feels natural

Con's:
  1. Too small
  2. Swiping is not ergonomic or intuative
  3. Tracking too slow

The two finger "gesture" is no good on a device that is designed to move around easily. All I've managed to do is push my mouse around the desktop like it's an albino hockey puck ;).

When it comes to mice and keyboard, reviews are - I'm sorry to say - a bit pointless. It is VITAL that you actually go and find one of these a try it before paying the large price tag.

I found it entirely unusable. My colleague here loves it.

Good:
It looks nice

Bad:
Slow tracking. Over 2 screens it’s soooo irritating.
Should be an option for 1 finger page back and forward. Using 2 fingers is clumsy.
Fingers stick to mouse when sweaty!
2 mouse button clicked should give you expose.
Mouse software is too limited.

Conclusion:
Debating whether to return it.

your only positive is that "it looks nice" and you're debating whether or not to return it?

Tracking and acceleration complaints can be addressed (for the most part) by the free solutions I outlined in the Mac OS forum. Both involve some simple Terminal commands.

Currently I use an app called steermouse that allows so much configuration.

I have been in touch with them and as soon as they get a magic mouse they say they are going to update their software.

I'd recommend USB Overdrive over Steermouse, but both are essentially the same. The USB Overdrive dev typically updates his software a bit faster.

Hold the mouse between your thumb and ring finger. Seems far more nimble that way, and makes the two finger gestures much easier.

Still not enough to convince me to switch from the MX Revolution.

I have 2 MX Revolutions (they are great!!) and just got my Magic Mouse today. I have been using the Magic Mouse for a few hours and so far still prefer the MX Revolution. I find that the flatness of the Magic Mouse puts my hand in an awkward curl...as it trying to simulate a thicker mouse. Feels like I am going to hurt my wrist if i keep this up.

The multi-touch is great! I love being able to vertically and horizontally scroll without a wheel. I am not entirely sure if I will keep the Magic Mouse for my iMac....will probably keep in my back pack to use with my MBP.

Several revisions in your verdict show your incomplete experience with Magic Mouse...I will take your verdict as a grain of salt as one unforeseen problem in the future might pull down your score all the way from A to F.

I agree. I don't see how a mouse that doesn't even have middle click functionality can be considered grade A in 2009. I said earlier in the thread - this mouse is too crippled for any real usage. It's either a gimmick or half finished. Hopefully the latter, and hopefully these issues will be addressed with 10.6.2.

Happy to see the score went up for you after use, still not sure if its worth $70 for me but we will see. If my might mouse trackball starts to act up again soon I might be heading over to the Apple store.

I've been using mine for 4 days now...coming from Wireless MM.

I love it. Just picked up 2 more today...one for the MP in the studio and another for my wife's laptop. It took me a couple of days (kinda like the OP *LTD*). I'm going to give it a 95%, A+:) I really dig mine with Final Cut Pro and Logic, the two programs I spend the most time with.

Verticle/Horizontal scrolling is absolutely smooth as butter...and my biggest need. I have no needs for more than (Right/Left) 2 click positions though, so YMMV.

It fits perfectly in my hand...heel of my hand is on the desk...and the fact that I've been using it for 3 days and the battery still shows 100%....well...that obviously won't be an issue!

Not sure I follow the tracking complaints either....I use twin 30"ACDs and have no issues....

I love the review. I love the Magic Mouse. It's awesome. It needs more gestures, but the scrolling is awesome.
