Well this would be a problem with wireless charging in general, not specific for this product. But thanks to the 15w fast charging, if you are in this situation, you don’t have to wait long till you can use the phone again.

Apple's own MagSafe charger is design specifically for this... phone can still be used easily while charging.

Say you're at the airport, you want to charge the phone.

1. Tiny GaN charger and a 2m Lightning cable. Charges with 20W, no hassle.
2. You use this monster and patiently wait until the phone gets some juice and then you can use it.

"Neatly designed industrial trash" is a really good description for this.

I agree, to each its own... but please tell me a situation, where this is better than a cable?

Lots of hate for this for some reason, but to each their own I guess. I picked one up a few weeks ago and absolutely love it. It’s already served me well for a long weekend trip, and gets its first cross-country adventure in a few days. I do use it at home daily, too. It’s super convenient to have in my home office.

Yes it’s larger than the MagSafe Duo, but its still pretty compact overall and the carrying case is really convenient. And if you have a USB-C iPad or MacBook Air, it’s literally the only charger you need to pack.
I purchased it right away once it was in stock in the European Mophie store.

Compared to the MagSafe duo it does not drop charging speed if you place multiple devices on it; also there’s a charging brick included.

There was also a code available at the time of my purchase which cut 25% off the price, so it works faster, comes with a charger and was def less costly than Apple's solution.

I'm still looking for a sub-$50 2in1 solution (flat charger) that would charge both my AW7 & XS at the same time.

"Great for Travel"

On what level? :D

If i travel, a few cords and a multiport GaN charger is much less bulk and overall space in my bag than this nicely designed industrial trash.
Also, direct charging uses about half the electricity to produce the same charge as cordless.

If you have a cover on your phone - insulating it and increasing the gap to the cordless pad - that can easily half the efficiency again. Ditto if you simply place the phone on the pad badly.

Cordless charging burns electricity for nothing.

Finally, your cordless pad uses a cord!

This really is an expensive solution to a problem that only exists because people create it for themselves because they just have to use wireless charging.

A wall charger that fits multiple cables takes up less than a third in volume, which is what I would really care about when travelling. Stationary on a desk is a different story.
The key benefit I see in this is that I don't have to pack multiple cables nor have to deal with multiple cables on a nightstand. Single wireless charging units still require one cable per device, this cuts that down to one.

A 3-in-1 Anker charger for $30 or $40 is great for travel, not this monstrosity.

I'm not sure if the additional volume is a trade I'd be willing to make to avoid bringing one or two more cables on a trip, but your mileage may obviously vary.

At home on my own nightstand or my permanent desk it's obviously a different matter.

I have:
- An M1 MacBook Air (2 x USB-C ports, 1 x used for power)
- An iPhone 13 Pro Max
- AirPods Pro
- iPad mini (latest, USB-C)
- Apple Watch.

To charge all this at the same time I need (I currently have all these things):
- MBA charger and USB-C to USB-C cable
- USB-C to Apple Watch puck charger (plugged into the spare port on the MBA)
- iPad charger and USB-C to USB-C cable
- A 2-port USB-A charger and two USB-A to Lightning cables to charge the iPhone and AirPods.
Total: 4 chargers, 5 cables.

With this Mophie 3-in-1 travel charger:
- Mophie 3-in-1 travel charger pack (incl. charger and USB-C to USB-C cable)
- MBA charger and USB-C to USB-C cable
- USB-C to USB-C cable to charge iPad mini from the MBA
Total: 2 chargers, 3 cables.

Hey, it works for me.

Part of me really wants something like this.

The rest of me has been fine with a 6 port USB charging station that will charge my iPhone and iPad while I use them, along with my watch, GoPro, camera batteries, and companions' devices as well. Granted, I have to take cables, but that still takes up less room than this.

I understand some people have limited time to handle charging while travelling so they need to sync them all together. But most of these devices' batteries go through the day.

My travel devices:
14" Macbook Pro (MagSafe)
10.9" iPad Air (USB c)
iPhone 11 pro max (lighting)
Airpods Pro (lighting)
Apple Watch (magnetic puck)

I carry:
96w Macbook Pro charger
USB c to USB c cable (for MacBook and iPad)
USB c to lighting cable (for iPhone and airpods pro)
USB c to the magnetic puck (for Apple Watch)

Fits nicely.

Thank you MacRumours for bringing to my attention. This is ideal for light travellers like myself. I am progressively reducing the amount of ITC items that I need to carry. Every flight I am flagged for bomb scanning due to amount of technology I have with me. Apple’s, Belkin’s and Mophie’s ingenuity enables that. Wireless charging is a significant technology step forward allowing for less hardware and interoperability. I wish Nokia would catch up as only my XR20 has OEM wireless charging built in. Nokia to date lacks an eSIM phone so I an considering the Google Pixel 6 as my secondary smart phone.

I purchased this Mophie 3-in-1 MagSafe Travel Charger. It's a great throw-in-bag and go item knowing you'll be able to charge your iPhone, Watch and AirPods without having to think about which cables/charges to pack/bring.

I agree that the included cable and wall charger are cheap looking and feeling, so I tossed them and upgraded/replaced the two with Anker products:

This replaces the wall charger, it has a nice solid feel to it, fits in the Mophie charger pocket perfectly, and thanks to the added ports and power, you can charge other devices while charging your 3-in-1 devices:

And this is a nicer, better made, braided USB C cable:

Both of these replacement items upgrade this charging system nicely and completes this grab and go charging system, in my opinion. It's way overpriced, but the 3-in-1 charger alone has a nice quality feel to it and is made very well.

Just bought one and I will be returning it.

When traveling, I typically plug as many devices as I can into my MacBook Pro at night to charge, and arrange them on top of the closed computer. This is fine but creates a mess of cables, with an iPhone, Apple Watch, Airpods, and an iPad Mini stacked atop. The MBP is the only device plugged into the wall, and everything is nicely charged come morning. I thought this Mophie charger might clean that up a bit, and offer a nice desktop charging station while working. If you similarly plan to charge your devices via the Thunderbolt ports on your MacBook, you'll be better off with the MagSafe Duo. The reason is, the Airpods will not charge when this device is plugged into the MBP. The phone and watch will charge (and quite quickly) but not the Airpods. It doesn't matter if the Airpods is the only device on the charger, no dice. The Airpods will charge if I use the included charging brick.

Since I will not carry another wall wart just to charge my Airpods, (love my tiny GaN brick), I'll be returning this device to Apple, and trying out the MagSafe Duo, though I am not a fan of the white-only color option.

Hey, that's pretty great. Can you confirm whether this will still charge everything off a MacBook Pro (or Air) USB-C port?

I'd be curious to know if anyone else has had the problem I'm having with this mophie 3-in-1 travel charger. When it's working I love it, but after about 3 days of use, it stops charging anything. Unplug it and re-plug it in, and it works perfectly again, for about 3 days. Lather, rinse, repeat, ad infinitum.

Power cycling the phone or watch makes no difference. It absolutely requires a power cycling of the charger to work again. It doesn't matter whether you unplug the wall wart or just the cable connected to the charging pad; both methods of power cycling the unit work the same. So the problem is clearly in the charging pad itself.

If this is a known, recurring problem I'd prefer a refund, but if I just got a lemon I'd prefer a replacement, because, as stated, I really do like it when it's working.

i've never had this problem with the watch and airpods charging spots, but once with my iphone.

also for the past few days i had the problem that it would just stop charging after a couple of minutes or would only at a very low speed - in this situation a reboot of my iphone helped, it was not a problem of the mophie charger.

I got Zagg/mophie to replace the unit under warranty. Used it for 7 days without a problem. Intended to reply here the next day, but got busy and didn't. That night it failed to charge the phone. (Didn't check the watch.) Unplugged, replugged, working again. So apparently this is a recurring failure mode for these devices. If it will stick to 7 days, instead of 3, I can probably live with it, particularly when traveling, as I don't often stay in one place longer than 7 days, and unplugging and re-plugging isn't that big a deal. But this is very disappointing.

Thank you for the tip. I really like the idea of the Anker charger as I maybe able to reduce some more Apple plugs that I carry.

"Great for travel" - back in the days when I was traveling, almost very hotel offered USB ports, and at the time, 2 5W little bricks, 1 cable and 1 cable/puck was far more convenient to pack than this thing, and FAR cheaper ... but whatever the "convenience" is worth to one ... and watch those who need to quickly charge at the airport getting this thing out ...
Yes they still do. The hotels we've gone to lately have way more ports than anyone would ever need. And then you still have outlets

I've only ever had one Anker product not work, and they instantly replaced it with a better model for free.
