I've purchased battery cases for my 3Gs, 4s, 5s, and 6s, (nothing for my Xs yet) - so I've known what a chin was for many years now, and I would never buy a battery case that had one.

I purchased Juice Pack Air for my XS Max sortly after it was released. It started out just okay, giving me only about 1/2 a phone charge. Performance has declined rapidly since then, and now I’m lucky if I can get 25% charge.

I bought this a month or so ago when they dropped the price to $25 with a discount code. I actually prefer it over the Apple smart battery case even though it has a chin. The best I’ve gotten out of either is a 40% bump in battery, can’t see how the author got double the battery life of the iPhone. The Mophie case is slightly slimmer and easier to pocket and the texture isn’t as tacky as the Apple case. Seeing the charge status of the case in the battery widget would be nice but it’s not a deal breaker.
