I'm impressed with the Nanoleaf light strip - I purchased my first one from the  Store recently. They are cheaper than the Philips light strips and no hub is required plus I believe Philips has ceased distribution. I purchased all the stock in my area bar one. The retailer is charging full price for an item that has been on their shelf for over a year.

i never stated my taste. how could it possibly be described as opposite to mine, if it has not been presented.

the question still has not been answered. if taste is subjective, there's no reason for a "but." that is redundant, and lacks purpose. if there is a "but", then they do not, indeed, have any clue that taste is subjective.
You are absolutely right, you’d hadn’t stated anything about your taste. However, the fact that you have downvoted every post when someone has stated their dislike for the product is very telling.

In terms of the ‘but’ - there is absolutely no reason whatsoever that after stating something you are conscious of that a ‘but’ cannot be used. I would agree with you if someone had said ‘Sorry, but…’ because that insinuates that the person is not sorry. The reason the posters ‘but’ is not redundant and has meaning is they are simply asking a question out of curiosity.

It's against electrical code in many places to run power cables through the wall
High voltage if it isn't rated for that, sure. But this is low voltage. Your thermostat wire carries more voltage than this does. It would be safe and legal to run the wire through the wall.

Exactly running a standard appliance cord inside the wall does not pass code. Also, I would like to know what that light switch so close to the window controls? The usual place for a light switch is at the door where you enter a room. Looks like the contractor who wired this room was high on something.

Have several of their A19 bulbs and they're great. Work instantly with the HomePod mini and Thread. Setup is simple, have them set to automatically adjust with circadian lighting. Love them and they're on sale now.

Just bought more—a set of their hexagons -- last weekend. They fade up every weekday morning for my morning wake up. Also have some of their bulbs. My advice for those who don't like them? Don’t buy them.

Those phillips bulbs last though, Im still using my originals from 2010 daily with no issues. Phillips licenses the tech to Signify.

This one looks a bit too much like the attraction in a fair, the tiles look great but for some it could be great to have a battery inside to be able to put one there and there.

I wish they have an internal battery. The power cord is really unsightly.
Raceways are your friend! Seriously! I have them covering every cord in my house and they make such a difference.

Just make sure you use a T-square when installing them to get accurate verticals and horizontals :) Too easy to trust your gut that "this really feels like the right angle" till you walk a few meters away and look at it.

HomeKit is still a mess. Still no support for vacuum cleaners. Still no support for Siri notifications on the HomePod mini. Why can't I set a routine that when my tado senses the humidity is too high Siri on the HomePod tells me to go check it out. The HomePod mini is so great yet Siri is so limited.
Not to mention the SINGLE dumbest omission of all -- no durations.
Try something like "turn on XXX for 30 minutes" --- you just can't do it.
Not via Siri -- will give you an error.
Not via Scenes -- no duration option.
Not via Automation -- you can't "Pause" for more than a few seconds, and if you try the automation will "time out".

Craziest thing is -- internally HomeKit CAN do this! You can get durations in one way, via using a Smart Button. But you're SoL if you have any use case that doesn't match a Smart Button use case.

For a company that spends half it's advertising budget telling us how green they are, they seem amazingly uninterested in a trivial modification to their software that can actually help with certain electricity reduction use cases...

It looks like something one would put in a kid's room.

You say that like it's a bad thing! What's wrong with kids having fun, or teens having fun, or even adults having fun?

No-one is claiming you should install these in The Parlor where the Important Guests can see them.
They're for use cases like a basement entertainment room, or a dorm room alongside posters of hot chix and Lamborghinis. Think of them as, eg, 2020's lava lamps -- in both the negative and positive aspects.

I was using HomeKit for my Hue lights. I used it on my iPhone. I just tried HomeKit on my Mac hoping it would have extra functionality. Nope. I can't set my lights to go from 0% to 100% within 15 minutes in the morning. I can't set an automation with radios on my HomePod mini. Usually I just ask Siri to play a certain radio station in the kitchen for breakfast. Tried this in shortcuts to let the radio play in the morning but I can't select any radio station, I have to subscribe to Apple Music only.

HomeKit could be so much better. Yet it looks like whoever is in charge has no clue what to do with it. Or is using it by himself for a small set of functions and can't imagine what life is with kids, or what someone with other needs would use it for.

Or in the dungeon attached vertically next to the leather whips and a hexagon around the masks, illuminating in deep red. Adds to the allure of the dark recesses while your mistress hides in the shadows across the room as she awaits for you to settle in for your tier two obedience class.
