Taste is not something you have to pay for.
it's also not something you decide unilaterally for everyone else.

you run the cable yourself in the wall if you want it gone. Takes a little hole and drop it down its not hard. Most people don't seem to want to run cables in there wall so this is what you get.The cord hanging down kills it for me.
Do you want them to drill out a hole in your wall and run the cable for you? The cable looks to be behind the panel in the center. So simply take a hole saw to your wall whatever size fits and run the cable in the wall. Anything that has power has a cable they all have issues with cables unless you hide them.I don't mind the Nanoleaf updates, as I consider them a premium Apple Accessory due to their consistent attempts to be compatible.
That said, I was confused about the wood in the last post. My big gripes about this product are, well, it's so niche it's going to have a hard time making many people happy. For example:
1. They need more wood types and colors. The pictures make it look like edge banding. Even if they look natural in person, people like to mix woods.
2. The light bleed is a turnoff for me. I would rather they act more like a salt lamp, even if that means there is soime inconsistent glow across the panel.
3. That cord. Look, without the RGB this is just an accent lamp. There is no reason that they couldn't place the cord somewhere where it can be run through the wall. I'd like to see the center Nanoleaf have the cord go into the wall, such that you can use all sides of the primary panel.
Those nanoleafs are more for mood lighting than lighting something up. if you want more light in that room use a real light That ikea lamp will be way brighter than these to light something up.I think these are the Nanoleafs I finally need to get. We have an entrance hallway that’s a little dark and currently has an IKEA floor lamp. And the showpiece in that hallway are these hexagonal tiles that are made of recycled chopsticks. I think these panels could take the place of the floor lamp and could look really smart there.

The NEC would beg to differ. Nanoleaf can’t legally suggest putting a power cord within a wall cavity without going up against the electrical code.I don't mind the Nanoleaf updates, as I consider them a premium Apple Accessory due to their consistent attempts to be compatible.

It’s not a “cable” it’s a power cord, and running unrated, ungrounded power cords inside walls is a dangerous practice.Do you want them to drill out a hole in your wall and run the cable for you? I said hole saw because its the easiest to repair when you want to patch the hole. Keep the pieces and plug up the hole and patch over it when you take it out.
Now if you care about "code" don't run anything through the wall that's not rated for in wall. Ive never had issues but some people don't want to go running cables in their walls obviously what this person did in this post because its a demo to show us what it is.
That’s all I really want it for. There are overhead lights when more is needed. Those nanoleafs are more for mood lighting than lighting something up. if you want more light in that room use a real light That ikea lamp will be way brighter than these to light something up.
