just put on my SGP OLE on my iphone 4 seems good to counter oily finger print and dust, but applying it at start is a bit annoying since the film is slightly smaller than the screen..i would have liked it it's perfect match =.=

It's fine just the way it is. It's to help prevent your screen from bubbling up when putting on a case.

is that camera a canon g10/11?

I mainly want to compare the
- SGP OLE
- SGP Crystal
- PS Crystal
- PS Antiglare HD

and i think it would be better if you put all pictures into one frame so to compare them without scrolling all the way down if thats okay. :)

dude why just read this thread

It's really simple

You need to choose your poison

matte screen protectors will cause the screen to become grainy
clear screen protectors will show light scracthes/fingerprints

I love the clarity of the retina display = SGP oleophobic is the best option

I have the Oleo and the PS Anti Glare. I love the Oleo but found exactly what most on here found, it scratches very easily. I am not hard on my phone at all and started noticing scratches inside of a week of use. I switched to the PS AG and love it but I know deep inside I am missing the clarity. Has anyone tried the SGP Crystal? I have one laying around from an SGP case I purchased. I wonder if it would be better on scratches. I do not think fingerprints are preventable on any clear shield. My Oleo got worse than the unprotected screen after a few days and I tried the wax trick. I figure you just have to clean often with a clear.

As far as the HD vs the Ultrafine, I had a used Ultrafine a buddy gave me just to see what it would look like. I could not reuse it permanently. The Ultrafine reminded me of a Speck antfingerprint I had purchased for around $10 for 3. It was a bit brighter and the screen showed a bit more clearly through the protector but it was much grainier than the PS. The PS definitely cuts back on the clarity of the screen but it just does not make you feel as if the screen is "dirty" like the SGP. It also repels fingerprints better. The SGP would show smudges easier whereas the PS just did not. You can take all of my comments with a grain of salt as I spoke to Jason at SGP via email last week. He stated the Ultrafine products they beta tested where still being altered and the final versions would be even better than what they originally sent out to everyone.

The ps anti hd is the best matte shield out their if you like matte. I would say the ps are better than sgp simply because is comparable quality if not better and the ps have better cutouts.

I agree (that I know of anyways).

I would say the reverse is true for the crystal/clear screens, where SGP is both clearer and higher quality than PS.

The cutout is a matter of preference. SGP has a more precise cut, which makes it much harder to put on than PS, but at the same time also makes it less noticeable that you have a screen protector on.

Guys I have a question because I'm totally new to this film stuff.

Where does the Invisible Shield and BSE flims stand in all this, excluding the factor of price.

Do they simply offer better protection of the phone, while SGP and PS are mostly for the effects (clarity of the screen, the anti-glare..etc)?

Thanks.

PS and SGP are hard, dry install skins. Invisible Shield and BSE are soft, wet-install skins. All provide protection, but the hard crystal films provide more clarity and feel more like the bare glass. On the other hand, soft films have self-healing properties and so don't show scratches over time.

Most people tend to prefer the hard films.

Cannot comment on the BSE, but run fast & far from the Invisible Shield. I purchased one of the dry install sets from an AT&T store and A) the install was horrible and B)it only last a month before a lit bit of perspiration caused the front piece to bubble and peel up.

Has anyone switched from the PS anti glare back to the SGP oleo?

I'm really considering it. I love not wiping finger prints but the reduced clarity just isn't for me... I hate iPhones!:mad::mad::mad::confused::confused::confused::D:D

Don't know yet!

I just switched from SGP Ultra Crystal to PS anti-glare because I was tired of fingerprints. The reduced clarity is driving me mad, but... it took me a few days to get used to it on my iPad (I have the Steinheil Anti-Fingerprint on my iPad, which is even worse on clarity) so I'm going to try it for a week or so. I am enjoying not having to wipe fingerprints anymore :)

Will let you know on Friday. I have had the PS HD Anitglare on for about 10 days now. I love everything about the shield but the reduced clarity. Its smoother, fingers slide easier, the cutouts for the camera and earpiece are perfect and its the best Anti glare I have tried (although Jason at SGP has stated when they finally release their out of beta, it will shock people). That being said, I look at my wife's naked phone again yesterday and I just miss that depth and clarity of the screen. So I have decided after I get back from this business trip I am on I am putting a SGP Crystal I have laying around on.

When my ZAGG started bubbling the other day I peeled it off and was instantly reminded of how amazing the iPhone 4 display is. Makes it a tough to decide whether or not to try another screen shield. I just got my free Incase smoke snap case today so I am gonna roll with that for a bit before spending anymore cash on a screen shield.

Just got home and removed the PS Antiglare. While it has its place, I don't think I will be going back. I put on an Oleo and I am amazed at the clarity again. The Oleo may not be as good as advertised on repelling fingerprints but it is the clearest film I have tried. All about priorities but I will be sticking with the clear films from now on and living with more smudges. Its worth it to me.

I had both the SPG Oleo and Ultra Crystal. They were absolutely fantastic at first. After about 2-3 weeks the slowly showed tiny scratches all over them...and thats just from normal pocket use...They Oleo became increasingly harder to wipe away oils, and it would always look like crap. About 2 weeks ago I installed the PS Anti-Glare and wow...I'm seriously so glad I decided to give it a go. While the brightness is slightly dimmed the lack of glare and fingerprints is soooooo worth it. PS Anti-glare FTW in my experience.
