The Speck Wrap is the newly released folio case for the iPhone 6 that's meant to offer 360 degrees of protection in a slim package. They've basically slapped on a front cover onto their very popular CandyShell series and for the most part, it works really well!

If you're looking for true protection for your iPhone, back of your iPhone is protected with the standard CandyShell case and the front is now always covered with a similar hard plastic design. The best part of the cover is that it always swings shut to cover your iPhone when dropped - it's like a bodyguard that will always take the bullet for your screen.

That was an excellent and thorough review of this case. Well done.

Thanks! It took awhile to really understand what the purpose of the case was, but once you realize it, it's actually a really great protective solution.

I like it. I asked Speck to consider making a CandyShell Grip Wrap.

I have the CS Grip and that case, with a cover would be real sweet!

Ah, haven't had a chance to try out the Grip - personal thought though, the aesthetic of it does give it a retro feel, reminds me of Atari for some reason...

My concern with the grip, which you may or may not be able to clarify, is with the rubber on the outside, how does it affect pocketability? Does it catch on your clothes?

I'm currently using my Thule X3.

When I was using my CS Grip, in and out of the pocket wasn't too bad. It's not going to be as easy as a hard shell. The grippy feel of the case is fantastic. You don't feel like it's going to accidentally slip out of your hands.
