I did that and I got:

WHITE TEXT WARNING
comezal
Supposably Spanish, but a translator won't give me anything.

I feel like if I ask for more hints you are practically giving me but it's 2 in the morning and I'm not exactly in my swiftest of mindsets. ;)

White text warning:
You've missed one letter. There are eight in the original, but you've got seven there.

I guess I should put this is white also:
I just kept searching and trying and eventually I found it. The word is mentioned several times on wikipedias article on truss.

Alright, I'm on Page 8 and stumped as everyone else. So you guys better get on here so we can figure this out! :p Something in my brain won't let me sleep till we finish this.

And those forums they have there are annoying. People take forever to post.

LOL, it took me nearly 3 days to get to page 8. Good job.

Yea, well I had a lot of help from people. ;) Now, had anyone been able to get past page 8? If so, please help me!

I've only tried a couple more things, and I'm not past page 8.

I've tried to assign notes to keys on the keyboard in various ways and then use that to translate the first letter in each word and also whole words in the last sentence.

I've tried
qaz = C
wsx = D
edc = E
rfv = F
tgb = G
yhn = A
ujm = B
ik, = C
ol. = D

and
q = C, w = D ...
a = F, s = G ...
z = A, x = B ...

and
z = C, X = D ...
a = C, S = D ...
q = E, w = F ...

According to my interpretation of the hints we should not use dvorak for this, but we should make a connection to musical keyboards or just assign notes to keys. My biggest problem is to figure out what the input is to whatever "function" we're supposed to use here. It just says that there's a riddle in the last sentence, but the last sentence is huge and I don't think the answer is that long.

Now I've also tried the words 'fiddle' and 'fiddleriddle' as input to these functions, and I've also tried to use fiddle notes that go like EFGABCDEF on the staff of the fiddle and just ABCDEFG in the same pattern as the first one for the keyboard.

<snip>

I think you might be putting too much thought into this. The forum over there has a post, the most recent one in fact, that said the answer was right there on the page. I'm starting to think that we are approaching this in the wrong way, and maybe we have to think outside the box a little more.

C'mon people we use Macs! Think different!®

Yeah, they said I was probably overthinking this, but they also said it would become more difficult as we got further into the game and we have already had to look up strange encodings and translate to other languages, so it can't be that simple either, can it?

He wrote, "What is on your keyboard?", as a hint. What could that mean?

Lets say the answer is that I have "keys" on my keyboard. How many meanings can the word "key" have in music and especially with regards to fiddles?

I also have letters on my keyboard, and numbers.

And see jgoondl says: "I'll just say this was one of the easiest pages for me since the first or second thing I tried was right. I just did it wrong so it took me a little while more to try it again correctly.", so it has to be something that takes a while to do. That's why I'm thinking substituting letters, or something like that, but it obviously isn't that or isn't any of those things that I've tried.

So I took a step away from the puzzle for a while and did some thinking. And think that it has nothing to do with notes or translating the sentence into notes. Rather I have a theory that it might have to do with dual terminologies that might have to do with music. I'll keep everyone posted if I find anything.

Oh my I can't get past page 5. Whiteness:

I've managed to get comenzal but it won't work, it looks spanish but altavista's translator gives me zip.

:(

So what are western notes? CDEFGABC? In Norway we actually use CDEFGAHC, which if any of them is western notes?

I think what it means is western notation of ABCDEFG. So this may also imply that we need to transfer this sentence into notes somehow.

Ohmygod I'm stupid.

I did one letter the wrong way... IDIOT!!

Nawww....not stupid, it's an easy mistake to make. And probably not the only person that did that. But it's also why I couldn't give you any kind of hint is you were too close already.

I'm on page nine. :D I had also tried the correct solution once, but I must have made a mistake. Oh, and I did it before ScruffyTheMac posted hints, honestly. Edit: Well, since his hints doesn't mean much to me, I guess it doesn't matter. :D

Hint for page 8:
The answer is long and it's not a real word nor do I think it's a proper melody. Quite stupid riddle in that respect.
