After clicking "Track this shipment" on the Apple order summary it tells you the basic info, but if you grab the tracking number from the left hand side and go to

http://www.tnt.com/webtracker/tracker.do?navigation=1&respLang=en&respCountry=BE&genericSiteIdent=

You can get more info directly from the carrier. This is assuming yours is using TNT like mine.

Is there anyone still in the same boat as myself? Where is koops? Did yours get shipped yet and I just missed it in the thread? I ordered the 15, 2.4, 7200 on June 5th the first day they were available and mine is still saying "Not Shipped Yet". They obviously don't ship first ordered, first delivered.

I'm here, it still says still not shipped! I'm gettiing annoyed by this now - if I didn't visit this forum I probably would not have known and not been bothered by the fact later orders are arriving - im tempted to call apple again - maybe they have forgotten about us?!!

anyone giving them a call for explaination? mine has been ready for shipment for a few days now, im hoping its not going to stay there for the next few weeks in that status!

No more delays for the 7200RPM drive option?

Is it just me or are there no more delays on the 7200RMP drive option?

I just checked both the US and Hong Kong Apple stores, and when I select the 7200RPM option, the shipping date doesn't jump to 4-6 weeks anymore.

Does this mean that Apple have plenty of stock now? or do they first want to get the order in before they disappoint me with a revised shipping date?

Anybody know?

Despite apparently being shipped on the 27th, my MBP still doesn't seem to have left Shanghai yet.

I'm hoping they just haven't updated the tracking, but I would imagine it would be one large shipment with the other UK folks, so I think it might indeed be delayed :(

Still plenty of time left before the estimated date though so I'll wait and see.

I have nothing on the apple tracking page. Apecode gives me:

28 jun 07 32 05 Flight Booked Apple Shanghai 04 jul 07
27 jun 07 30 63 handover at supplier Apple Shanghai 04 jul 07
27 jun 07 30 64 Departed from source Kuehne & Nagel Shanghai 04 jul 07

can you use your order number or sales number that apple give you to track or is the tracking number specific to the shipping company?

no tracking number either...

In transit to final destination - carrier details to be updated shortly
shortly... 48 hours and counting :)

FIFO or region?

I think they ship the new MBP’s according to FIFO and region. I ordered mine (2.4 GHz, Glossy, 160 GB 7200 RPM) on Jun 6, 2007 at 03:38 AM PDT and still have the Not yet shipped Status. I assume they wait until they have a whole bunch of orders for the same region before then make them. In my case I have to wait until they have enough orders for the Netherlands.

Or are there already Dutch out here who have their shipments confirmed?

Update

Order Date: Jun 26, 2007 at 12:23 PM GMT
Shipped on: Jun 29, 2007
Well excited now
i pressed the track shipping on the apple status page but it gives me "This service is currently unavailable, please try again later"
i guess it takes a bit to become active? ive not had a tracking number yet.
one thing ive notcied is that on the status page there is an email adress i.e "scottdrummer@mac.com" which I didnt ask for and I cant log into it as they didnt give me a password for it, does anyone know if there is a default password to this account? they may have sent the tracking number to this address you see.

Major update for me, after nearly 24 agonizing hours of no activity. My laptop is due to be delivered on July 3rd before 10:30 am.

Mine gets delivered this morning - in about an hour or so. Me is happy.

Ordered June 12 morning. MBP 2.4 15" Glossy 7200 rpm.

Sheesh. I order the same thing (well ok, mine was matte) a good week before you, and mine is still in Shanghai with a delivery estimate the wrong side of July the 8th....

I don't see why it should be such a big difference in shipping times just because I don't live in the colonies...

Yep, mine shipped last week. Supposed to be here by next friday. Ik kan niet wachten!!!
Seems like I got lucky since you ordered before me. Maybe it's because I bought it through the education store?
There were some other people who ordered before me and didn't get the "shipped" status yet. What's happening at Apple???

There just something satisfying about having your baby being delivered on the same day as the Jesus Phone being released:D

Mine was also ordered through the education store; maybe it indeed does make a difference?

The apple shipment status still says: In transit to final destination - carrier details to be updated shortly. Still no carrier tracking number :(

try logging into order tracking on apple store. there should be a button titled track shipment, click that and you are taken to applestore.bridge-point.com website where it will give your your tracking details including the shipment consignment number, copy this into the shipper tracking site e.g, TNT
