If I install VMware Fusion, will rift run on my mac? or is bootcamp a better path?

Bootcamp will be the better choice, however using the integrated graphics don't expect to run the game on anything more than low settings.

VMware and parallel dekstop dont support 3D games, go for bootcamp instead. i recently did it to play LoL and steam games the only problem was that i had to find and download new drivers for the graphic card. Other then that no problem

This is totally not true... VMWare and Parallels do support 3D games, and even have a list of games they officially support.

How well will Rift run? probably pretty bad. If its not an older low end game, it usually runs poorly, but some games are still playable.

You'd be better off going over to portingteam.com forums and getting the Rift wrapper someone made and playing with that right in OSX without having to even use Windows.
