Right Angle or Left Angle Sata Cable

Ive seen threads where people say u need a right angle or left angle sata cable to add a SSD on a mid 2010 imac 27 .. so do i have to use a left angle or can i use right angle ?

my first reaction to this was to think about tartan paint 😀

but on thinking about it a bit more, my head started hurting and i now think it's probably a fair question and also one i don't know the answer to 😛
