Right-Click - Copy Image Address

I do this A LOT (on MBA) to share photography on various photography forums I frequent... It how I go about sharing photography from my galleries on other websites...

However, how do you do it on the iPad?

you put your finger and hold it on the photo you want to share and options come up.

I'm not sure of some of the options but I know one is to save it to your photos.

Not what I'm looking for. I don't want to save it to "My Photos"... I just want the image address (URL)...

Is there an option to right-click and "open image in new window" so I can get the URL of the image?

How can I open the image directly if I don't know the exact URL for it?

1 Hold finger over image
2 Select "copy" in popup box

This will save the URL of the image in the clipboard

3 hold finger down
4 select "paste"

I just pasted the URL of the image in the text box for this reply

That works, but not if the photo is already a link... then using "copy" copies the link, not the photo URL...

That's the case with a lot of galleries. Flickr was ok... SmugMug didn't work, and neither did pBase. The gallery I'm using is my own, but I can't NOT make the images links...

Anyone know if Atomic Web Browser gives you this ability (to find the image address)?

I understand the OP's dilemma and think that if your doing this kind of link copy/pasting alot, the iPad is probably not the right device for this application.

I view the iPad as a casual web surfing, email + media fun toy. For any serious work I would utilize my laptop.

This may not apply to everyone but just trying to point out that the iPad is not a computer substitute.

I agree it's not serious work. But is not something that I would do on a daily basis. But everyones needs are different.

I hope a solution can be found. 🙂
