Any way to change it to the way it was in Tiger instead of using the ugly grid or stacks?

I just replied in another post about this.

I haven't found it yet - and I do miss it dearly.

Should you (or anyone else) find a way around it (apart from wiping and going back to Tiger) Please PM me!

Make an alias? That's what I did for Macintosh HD so I can get to that directly with finder through my Dock.

I don't know if this is what you are looking for, but if you command+click on an icon in the dock, it takes you to the containing folder.

So if you have Terminal in the Dock, like I do, then Command+Clicking that will take me to the Utilities folder within the application folder.

Command+Clicking on iTunes takes me to the main Applications folder.

You can also set the Finder to open on a different default folder than it does. I haven't messed with what I had it set to in Tiger since I seldom open up Finder via the icon.
