Go to System Preferences and select Trackpad and check the box of One finger - Secondary Click

or go into your system settings and you can customize the trackpad... I have mine set to two finger tap so if I tap with two fingers, it's a right click

If you've just started using a Mac, you may find Mac 101 at Apple's site helpful.

If you have a relatively recent Mac with the multi-touch trackpad you could also do a 2 finger click, or click the right side of the trackpad(depending on your preferences).

There are two options available for right click. First one is available in touch-pad and another is in keyboard. So you can use any of them.
