Hi, all. I'm Don. Like a lot of people, I'm spending time at home right now, and part of my time is being spent going through a backlog of projects. Three of those projects involve old Macs! I'm curious to know if this is a good place to ask questions.

So I have six Macs right now.

One's my main computer, and there are no projects there to be done with that! It works. I'm happy with it.

I have an old MacBook Pro with a dead battery. The battery actually, I'll say inflated, during a year in a box in a closet. It boots, though I did manage to mess it up trying to upgrade macOS (or however it's capitalized). I'd like to turn that into a media computer. I'm not sure the OS I'd like on it.

I have an iBook G4. I have no idea what the status of it is. I honestly can't even remember where I got it.

Then I have two computers I've been lugging around for nostalgia. I'd like to convert parts of the case of each into something that can be hung on the wall. One is a Power Macintosh G3, the other a G4. With what's left over, I'd like to see if there's any interest in the parts. I'd happily split shipping with anyone who wants something.

The hard drive on the G4 died, and I already had a backup, so I took the cover off, replaced it with clear acrylic and hung the whole thing on the wall. That turned out pretty neat and is my avatar here!

I have a Macintosh -- plain simple Macintosh, no bloody A, B, C, or D! -- that sits on a shelf and looks kinda nice.

In terms of non-Macs, I have an Chromebook running GalliumOS, a Nexus tablet I'd like to install LineageOS on, and some other odds and ends.

I actually found this forum searching for ways to polish scratches out of a G4 case. The side panel with the logo is the part I'd like to keep from that one.

I hope this post finds you all doing as well as can be expected. I look forward to participating here!
