Right in assuming 10.5 covers will work on 11inch

Am I right in assuming that the reason why there are no simple smart covers for the 11inch Pro is because the existing 10.5 inch smart covers will work? After all the form factor is the same right?
Anyone heard anything about this? There’s a lack of options right now and I don’t fancy shelling out £80 for the folio

Nope, won't work. The new 11" is a different shape. Plus, not certain there are the required magnets on the edge (could be wrong, but the 10.5" covers are too tall and not wide enough anyway).

Not only the size is different, but the smart port placement is also different. So, there is no way for the old cover to work even if it is possible to attach it.

Nope. I went with the smart folio, which has been exactly what I have wanted for years. Really happy with that accessory.

I am. I mainly used just a smart cover with my 10.5, but I always wanted back coverage. I like how the folio looks with the new Pro's a lot, very industrial and modern. I am a little OCD about my Apple devices though so I make sure not to scratch them, that definitely helps haha.
