Not that easy actually. It screws into the wall pretty well and has a "proprietary" screws connecting it to the mount. You need a LOT of force to break it off. You CAN purchase the screwdrivers from Amazon or a replacement from the company, but then you are planning ahead to intentionally steal a doorbell, which is already connected to someone's account. And when you walk up and take the time to unscrew the doorbell, the owner now has a long closeup shot of your pretty mug in 1080p. ;-)
As though no crook, already wearing the ski mask, would think to cover the camera lens!

My use case:

I live in a flat, it has its own front door at the bottom of stairs, then it's straight up to the flat; i.e. no downstairs area.

Hence a pain when we're upstairs inside and busy doing work or relaxing to then have to traipse down the stairs to answer for some BS doorbell ringer.

Now I just tell them I'm not interested via the speaker and don't have to stop what I'm doing.

Note, I don't pay for the recording, as really it's an obvious add-on upsell, and I don't need it. If they added it to Prime or let you record to your own server (or perhaps cloud of choice), I'd perhaps bother to enable.

If you were reporting that someone stole your package aren’t you already acknowledging that it was on your property? Otherwise you’d be saying it wasn’t delivered.
Let me try again.....you report that it wasn’t delivered. They confirm delivery via video. It is now your problem. This shouldn’t be hard to understand.

Maybe I’m a sucker, but shouldn’t that be your problem?

"the peep hole in the door does the same thing." Pretty hard to miss. The rest of your comment wan't worthy of a reply.
Pretty stupid reply actually, and your comment wastes space on here. Do I need to spell it out? If someone is going to break into your house, a digital peep hole has no advantage.

How is something like the video doorbell diluted from what it is to such a simpleton one-dimensional take on one single aspect of it? That's pretty much like saying that mobile phones are useless because if someone is going to attack you then a digital way to scream for help has no advantage.

Again, that may be a relevant point if the only reason for a video doorbell is too avoid or record thefts.

Which isn't the case at all.
