The defender has been protective, but it has only fallen off my belt with the clip on - the extra belt part getting in the way.
Looked for an alternative. Was told to try the case-mate tough case. I could not find it in stores so I had to order it online. While waiting I checked other case-mates and the silicone piece on the bottom was flimsy.
Saw a note about the Ringke case - silicone but with a stiffer feel on the outside. I got that in the mail quick - in two days. 5 days later SF Planet finally gets my case mate to me.
Put the two cases together and it fits and gives it some color.
