So I just received my new MBP today and I re downloaded RipIt. Now it says I have 10 free dvd rips then I have to pay $25 for the full version with unlimited rips. Has anyone else noticed this? It used to be free for unlimited.

I purchased a copy of RipIt in November of 2010, so they have been charging. Charging for the program in this caae is a good thing, because the program is worth the money. I can't say that about all the software I have purchased :).

I don't think it was ever free or unlimited. I bought it back in 09 when it was $19. Over 200 rips and 1.5TB later still going strong :D

I also own RipIt! and don't ever remember it being free. Definitely worth the small price.

Yup, I had to pay for it also. I purchased it as part of one of the MacHeist purchases or something along those lines. Worth it IMHO.

That's how I got it as well. I didn't think anything of it at the time, I wasn't ripping my discs. But now, I use it all the time; it's a great piece of software and am so happy I got it via MacHeist.

FYI, the license I got was for the old version and it was installed. When I went to download the old version again, it said it wasn't supported but to contact the developer. I did, and they upgraded my license to the new version, for free. Damn nice of them.

Buy this app, it is really worth the money.

Just realized I did a MacUpadte bundle purchase and that was in it, thus me never noticing an actual payment to them. I feel dumb, sorry all.

its the dogs when it comes to rippin i paid for it without hesitation.

I bought my license, what do you want? It's better than Mactheripper, and still supported.
