So I just received my new MBP today and I re downloaded RipIt. Now it says I have 10 free dvd rips then I have to pay $25 for the full version with unlimited rips. Has anyone else noticed this? It used to be free for unlimited.
I purchased a copy of RipIt in November of 2010, so they have been charging. Charging for the program in this caae is a good thing, because the program is worth the money. I can't say that about all the software I have purchased 🙂.
That's how I got it as well. I didn't think anything of it at the time, I wasn't ripping my discs. But now, I use it all the time; it's a great piece of software and am so happy I got it via MacHeist.
FYI, the license I got was for the old version and it was installed. When I went to download the old version again, it said it wasn't supported but to contact the developer. I did, and they upgraded my license to the new version, for free. Damn nice of them.
