Hi all..

What's the best method here ?

I know for movies already on your hard drive (Handbrake) is enough, but what about DVD's ?

Is RipIt's "Compress" feature with automatic settings equal to Handbrake's default's? or not really comparable ?

I have never used RipIt's "compress" feature, but I do use RipIt all the time. I then use handbrake to transcode the movie or tv shows using a custom Apple TV preset. Finally, I use Identify.app (http://identify2.arrmihardies.com) to add the iTunes-compatible metadata and add them to iTunes for Apple TV home sharing.

If you want my Handbrake settings, let me know.
