Currently using iTunes and ATV3 with numerous ripped DVDs. I am fighting the battle of using iTunes to watch movies. Is it possible to upload my movies to iCloud Drive or any other way to watch them without iTunes.

I know about pled but not wanting to use it either.

Beamer?

If the question if about what software to use to watch these ripped DVDs on a computer, I'd have to say VLC (both OS X and Windows). If its about streaming to the AppleTV without having to have the media loaded into iTunes so it shows up in the the ATV, I dunno. Beamer is definitely one that comes up the most.

So what is your issue with iTunes?

Also would like to know what the issues is with iTunes. I have ripped over 300 movies from DVD using handbrake and rip it. Then used Identify to tag them and put into iTunes. The process although somewhat time consuming once they are in iTunes it has been pretty much flawless.

Plex is sooooo much easier lol
I understand how it can be easier if you somehow get your hands on a file that is already ripped , plex will play just about any type file.

If however you are ripping from DVD then I do not think it is easier.
