The album art on my iPhone tracks were getting out of sync, so I thought I would wipe the tracks and start over. Turned off “Sync Music” in Music and synced. Clicked “Sync Music” again and only a very few tracks sync. I’ve restarted everything…tried many syncs connected to my Mac.
I exclusively use ripped tracks, no iCloud sync or Apple Music sub.
