The game will be released on Steam some time this month. I seriously thought of getting an XBOX for this game, but now I'm thinking of getting a gaming PC!
I hope this game actually has tomb levels with decent puzzles just like the original series.
You know it's practically guaranteed that Feral will port it to the Mac.
Indeed. I am sure Feral is working on the port at the moment.
But there is no guarantee when Mac version will arrive… PS4 version, from what I know, will be released in Nov 2016. I doubt Mac version will come out any sooner than that.
In any case, our 2012 iMacs won't be able to run it lol.
I don't know. I remain optimistic. TR 2013 plays well on mine.
I hope that's true, but no news yet!You know it's practically guaranteed that Feral will port it to the Mac.
Considering TR 2013 was still developed with at that time seven year old consoles in mind, and RotTR is designed for much more capable hardware, I guess the system requirements will be significantly higher.Yeah, I remember Tomb Raider running pretty well even on mid-high settings. I hope the new Tomb Raider doesn't have crazy requirements.
It's not even out for Windows yet. Don't expect a Mac version until fall/winter, if not later.I hope that's true, but no news yet!
I know that! I was merely pointing out that there was no news as to whether Feral will take it on or not! It's not even out for Windows yet. Don't expect a Mac version until fall/winter, if not later.
Well, LEGO games aside, that's actually pretty much exactly the average time between Windows and Mac release for most of Feral's recent games (TR 2013, Hitman, Shadow or Mordor, Alien: Isolation), if not much longer (Thief, GRID Autosport, CoH 2, Dirt 3, Medieval II: Total War)…There is no logical reason to assume it will take up to a year. Doesn't always happen.
The exceptions to the rule, mostly since they were based on already existing ported engines or even completely ported games (DXHR: DC and XCOM: EW) with only minimal modifications. RotTR uses a significantly updated engine.Yes, but not always. Deus Ex I think was around 5 months, same as XCOM Enemy Unknown. Enemy Within was simultaneous, and so is XCOM2, assuming it is released as expected in a few weeks.
Well, and all I'm saying is that a delay of more or less a year is more likely than anything else. All I'm saying is there is no hard and fast rule on this. Each game has different circumstances that affect the release date, whether it is technical, contractual, etc.
Only Feral knows the answer. For all we know they've been doing preparatory work for months now, or they may not be doing Rise at all!Well, and all I'm saying is that a delay of more or less a year is more likely than anything else.

Sadly, no Mac version. Hopefully we won't have to wait 9 months for a release! Although there hasn't been any announcement from Feral yet.
Sadly with 1GB it'll just crash and burn.Anyone tried this with a 1gb graphics card ? Just wondering if it's at all playable on the lowest settings 🙁
For most of my future gaming I'm going to have to get a ps4 but this isn't out I it 🙁
