Dear Community,

I have received my new iPhone 11 Pro Max and did the setup today and immediately afterwards, I noticed that the volume of the "typing sound" seems to be changing. I have read several threads about this being a bug, but for me, it only seems to affect the typing sound (notifications etc. seem to be okay) and it is somehow regular in the sense that it starts out relatively silent and gets louder the longer I type (up until a certain point, then it remains at a certain volume), so it almost seems like this is by design.

Therefore, I wanted to ask what the current status is regarding this issue. Is it a bug or is it a feature? If it is a bug, what would be the right course of action here? I have read that resetting the iPhone does not change anything, but is this something that justifies getting a replacement?

Thanks for your help!

Lol and I thought this was normal. Whilst typing in Tapatalk it all sounds normal. But if I type in certain messaging apps I get an occasional loud click here and there.

I wasn't sure either because it seemed somehow "regular" to me, but since Apple Support told me that this shouldn't be like that, I guess it's a bug or something.

Hi, I’m having the same issue, but in all apps! Did you find out if it’s something from iOS or is this a problem with the device itself? Thank you!

Apple Support told me immediately to exchange the device when I reported this and it was solved by receiving a replacement device, but I guess you could also try reinstalling iOS.
