Title says it all. Just ordered a new rMB 2017 i7/16/512, and I want to order some sort of dongle thingy that will let me charge the macbook , while plugging in my USB (2.0) speakers and 32" 4K display (@60Hz). What do I need to buy to make this happen? Links appreciated.

Thanks community.

This is possible, but with the compromise that if you want 4K@60Hz and USB, the USB speeds will be limited to USB 2. This is due to the limitations of USB-C bandwidth.

So, you can get the CalDigit USB-C dock and email them to request the 4K@60Hz firmware. Once installed, you'll have a dock that is turning the MacBook's USB-C port in to power, 4K@60Hz video, USB 2, and audio ports.

Thanks, I think USB 2.0 is fine.
I heard the problem with this docking solution is that you need windows to get the firmware update. Is that true?
