For my needs, the rMB would be perfect. I am typing on a 2011 11" MBA now and it has served me well minus the atrocious battery life (lucky to get 2 hrs off the charger).

However, an entry level new MBP with that rumored OLED bar above the keyboard would be cool haha. As well as the possible need for ports as I am thinking about taking up light photography as a hobby. I know that I could always by the apple adapter as I am thinking of running an external monitor when it is docked on my desk.

So is anyone holding out for the new MBP's instead of going for the rMB?

Also do you think the rMB might drop in price or would that not matter is it is a different line?

I hate the waiting game btw.

I don't think the rMB will drop in price unless Apple straight up discontinues the Air. Seeing as they just updated it not too long ago with a RAM bump (4GB to 8) for the 13 inch model, it seems like they plan on keeping it around for a bit longer as the entry level model until they can reduce the cost of manufacturing the rMB.

I agree with you about the OLED bar above the keyboard haha. If it looks anything like the renderings (displaying your battery, Wi-Fi, other status), it's going to be pretty neat!

Haha yeah it is a shame I have to keep waiting but well see. Like I said I did love everything about the rMB but I feel like if I purchase one and the new MBP is stunning in both design and functionality I will be pissed off.
