For the CPU-gurus out there : what would (likely) be the impact on battery life when upgrading from the 1.1Ghz to the 1.2 or the 1.3 ?

Will they get much hotter than the 1.1 or does that have nothing to do with it ?

Experience with other computers using more powerful processors on the same thermal envelope suggests that there would be an impact to battery life. How much - is something that you will have to wait for the reviews to be out after release.

Usually the higher frequency versions also run at a lower voltage, somewhat mitigating the addition power loss due to a higher clock rate. But I suspected that battery life is affected a little bit for certain.
