Why is this an issue. Shutdown if you're not using for expected period.

Because it's not an issue on other Macs so why is it happening on this Mac? I rarely ever shut down and that's how Apple wants it. I don't think a few hours of not using it warrants shutting down but I don't want it constantly connected to my Hotspot or another wifi network draining battery.

Fair enough. But these machines boot fast so a shut diwn is not inconvenient. i am sure you reported it. Not much else you can do.

Don't have mine yet and I don't really expect Apple to have a fix soon if ever if this will actually be a problem on mine too. I often find solutions on boards rather than through contacting Apple.

Shutting down might be fast but it's an inconvenience we shouldn't have to deal with after spending so much money on this device.
